Something with onion, celery and bacon bits!Recipe for easy macaroni salad?
This one does not include bacon bits... but I think it would make a fine addition

BLT Pasta Salad
1 (16 ounce) package medium seashell pasta
1 pound sliced bacon
1 1/2 cups light Ranch-style salad dressing
1 small onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain, and rinse under cold water to cool.
Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crisp. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
In a large bowl, stir together the Ranch dressing, onion, and tomatoes. Mix in the cooled pasta. The pasta will absorb some of the dressing, so don't worry if it seems like too much. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Crumble bacon over the top just before serving.
Here is my recipe, does not call for bacon bits, but just add about 1/2 cup, should be great.
Macaroni Salad
6 cups cooked medium size shell macaroni
5 hard boiled eggs, diced
1 cup canned peas
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced onions
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
Sauce:
2 cups miracle whip
2 tbs yellow mustard
1 - 2 tbs white vinegar
2 - 4 tbs milk
1 tbs black pepper
2 tsp kosher salt
Cook macaroni according to package directions, al le dente. Drain and chill is ice water to stop cooking.
Mix the sauce. In a large mixing bowl, add macaroni, veggies and pour salad dressing over macaroni. You want a creamy texture with a nice tangy flavor. Add additional miracle whip, milk and vinegar if needed.
1 lb box elbow macaroni
6 eggs, hard boiled, chopped
3 stalks celery, diced finely
1 small onion, diced finely
bacon bits to taste
Mayo or miracle whip
yellow mustard
Cook pasta, rinse with cold water. Add eggs, celery, onion and bacon bits. Add about 1 1/2 cups mayo and a squirt or 2 of mustard. Stir. Add more mayo until salad becomes moist. You will want it to look almost like there is too much mayo, cause the noodles will soak up a lot of the mayo as it sets.
I put it in a pretty bowl, then slice a few sliced hard boiled eggs on the top to make it look ';pretty';.
Good luck.
1 package macoroni - cooked
1 red onion
1 jar sweet relish
yellow mustard
miracle whip
salt
pepper
cook macaroni as instructed, drain, rinse well in cold water. Dice onion, add to macaroni, add relish to taste, mustard, miracle whip to get consistancy/flavor wanted, add salt/pepper to taste
I use the elbow macaroni, crispy crushed up bacon, chopped celery, chopped onion and drained, rinsed kidney beans. Mix a mayonnaise base dressing and toss all together. Then place sliced boiled egg on top. Beautiful in color.
Now this is REALLY cheating, but very good.
Elbow macaroni
Bottled Italian dressing
A jar of pickled peproncini, drained
Thick-sliced salami or pepperoni, cut into small chunks
Provolone cheese, cut similar to the meat
Mix them up. Let it chill.
