Any recipe for anchovy-free Caesar salad dressing but with the same result as the classic one?

you could use this recipe but it says you can leave out the anchovies...the anchovies are only in the dressing for a more deeper,saltier taste....Any recipe for anchovy-free Caesar salad dressing but with the same result as the classic one?
6 cloves garlic, mashed and minced


1 tablespoon Dijon mustard


1 tablespoon Vinegar


2 tablespoons mayonnaise


1/2 cup olive oil


Salt


Pepper


Lemon juice





Combine garlic, mustard, vinegar and two pinches of salt in a blender and mix thoroughly. Add mayonnaise and blend together to form a thick base. In a slow stream add olive oil through hole in lid. Scrape dressing with spatula into a bowl and season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
classic Cesar does NOT use anchovies, it uses Worcestershire sauce which contains anchovies.

Make the classic and just leave the anchovies out. Simple. But it gives a certain flavor you may miss.





If you are freaked by buying them in little tins, buy the paste in a tube. Much easier to tolerate, and use just a bit, then fridge the rest.
Julia Child actually had the opportunity to meet the original creator of the Caesar salad and believe it or not, it did not have anchovies in it. You can get the recipe from her cook book ';Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home'; You may be able to find it at the PBS website.

omg i never knew ceaser dressing had anchoves!!! ewww no wonder it tastes like fish a little!! i am never eating it again!!!!!
