鈥?2 cups dry elbow macaroni, cooked, rinsed, and drained
鈥?1/3 cup diced celery
鈥?1/4 cup minced red onion, soaked in cold water for 5 minutes, drained
鈥?1 tablespoon minced flat-leaf parsley
鈥?1 teaspoon of dried dill (optional)
鈥?1/2 cup diced vine-ripened tomato (optional)
鈥?1/2 cup prepared mayonnaise
鈥?3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
鈥?1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
鈥?1 1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
鈥?3 tablespoons sour cream
鈥?1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
鈥?Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
In a large bowl combine the macaroni, celery, onion, parsley and tomato, if using. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, vinegar, sour cream and salt. Pour the dressing over the salad and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve. Store covered in the refrigerator, for up to 3 days.I need a recipe to impress for a macaroni salad?
This is how I make my macaroni salad. It's very simple, but it tastes really good. (You can double the recipe, if you need to make more. I just make this much for me and my husband.)
1 cup (dry) pasta shells
mayonnaise (I don't measure it though, it depends on how creamy you want it. You can put more or less.)
1 tsp sweet relish
1/4 tsp of honey mustard
1 regular sized grated carrot
1/2 sweet green bell pepper, chopped
ABOUT 1/4 cup of milk
salt and pepper to taste
Boil the pasta until it's soft, then when it's cooked, rinse it with cold water. Mix all the ingredients together and put it in the fridge to cool for a bit.
I've made it for my parents a few times and they really liked it.
I know some people who also put corn relish in their pasta salad, but personally, I think it comes out TOO sweet.
Classic macaroni salad
Ingredients
1 cup Hellmann's mayonnaise
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 oz. Mueller's elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup chopped green or sweet red pepper
1/4 chopped onion
Method
In a large bowl, stir first 6 ingredients until smooth. Add remaining ingredients; toss to coat well. Cover and chill. Makes 5 cups.
Notes: Stir in a bit of half %26amp; half or whole milk for a creamier salad. Baby shrimp can be added for a more luxurious version.
Get a box or however many you will need of Betty Crocker Bacon Ranch pasta salad follow directions and add to it a grilled chicken breast cubed and instead of using 1 cup of mayo like directed use 1/2 c mayo and 1/2 c Kraft 3 cheese Ranch dressing also add about 1/4 c of shredded cheese. Then add some chopped tomato. This is an awesome salad that I make at home and even my kids love it.
Just cook the macaroni's. When they're finished you should pour some cold water over them to get them cold. Add tomatoes, cucumbers, prayer cores (if you have some), paprika, onions... all the vegetables you think will mix well with macaroni's. Then you pour some olive oil, some balsamic vinegar salt and pepper, and it's done
