Anyone have a good recipe for potato salad?? or egg salad?? 10 pts for easiest best recipe!?

So im looking to expand my cooking skills!! im looking for the easiest most tasty recipe for egg salad or potato salad..


However i am also looking for just recipes in general.. Im just learning to cook (my husband would also appreciate the recipes.. lol)

MOM'S EASY POTATO SALAD





3 cans diced Del Monte new potatoes, drained


6 hard-boiled eggs, diced


3/4 cup finely chopped celery


1 medium sweet onion, minced


1 large dill pickle, diced (claussen)


1/2 teaspoon celery seed


2 tablespoons dill pickle juice


1/4 teaspoon dry mustard


1 tablespoon chopped pimento


yellow mustard


1 cup mayonnaise


paprika


salt and pepper





In a medium size bowl, mix 1 cup mayonnaise with enough yellow mustard to make it a soft yellow, add pickle juice, dry mustard, celery seed, potatoes, eggs, celery, onion, diced pickle and chopped pimento, combine all, salt and pepper to taste.


Cook's Note: To use fresh potatoes for this recipe, boil 5 large potatoes in 2 quarts of water with 1/2 tablespoon salt. When fork tender, cool remove skins when cool enough to handle. Alternately, scrub red or new potatoes well and leave skin on. Cut into 1 inch cubes. Proceed as above with remaining recipe.








EASY POTATO SALAD





8-9 boiled med. potatoes


4 boiled eggs





While still warm, chop up potatoes and eggs together. Add 2 heaping tablespoon dill weed. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix in 1/2 cup mayonnaise (more or less to taste) and mix in 2 tablespoons mustard. Mixture is fairly creamy.





EASY POTATO SALAD





7 potatoes


1 bottle Italian salad dressing


Mayonnaise


Paprika





Peel and cut up potatoes. Boil under tender. Drain and place hot potatoes in bowl. Immediately pour bottled Italian dressing over all potatoes and toss to coat. Cover and leave in refrigerator overnight. Mix mayonnaise (to taste) with the salad dressing in the bowl. Stir gently to coat potatoes. Garnish with paprika.





EASY POTATO SALAD





2 lbs. boiling potatoes, peeled and halved


3 tbsp. prepared buttermilk salad dressing


Pepper


3 hard cooked eggs, peeled and chopped


2 lg. dill pickles, chopped


2 celery stalks, chopped


1 (3 1/4 oz.) can sliced black olives, drained


3/4 c. mayonnaise





Cook potatoes in large saucepan of boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain. Cool. Chop into small pieces. Toss with salad dressing. Season with pepper. Mix in eggs and next 3 ingredients. Add mayonnaise and toss lightly. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Can be prepared 1 day ahead. 8 servings








EASY EGG SALAD





6 hard boiled eggs


1/4 c. chopped green pepper


1/4 c. sliced green onions


3/4 c. chopped ripe olives


1/3 c. mayonnaise


1 tsp. salt


Dash of pepper

THE BEST POTATO SALAD EVER


5 pounds of potatoes


5 boiled eggs


1 medium onion chopped


1/2 cup pickle relish


1 cup of salad dressing or mayonaise


1/3 cup of vinegar


1/3 cup of sugar


1 tablespoon mustard


1 teaspoon of salt


1/2 teaspoon of pepper


Boil potatoes until tender, not mushy. Place cubed potatoes in a large bowl. Add diced boiled eggs, diced onion and pickle relish. In a separate bowl mix the other ingredients together until smooth. Pour the contents of that bowl over the potatoes, eggs, onion and pickle relish. Mix carefully and well. Enjoy!
EASY POTATO SALAD





6 lg. potatoes, peeled, cooked and chopped into cubes


5-6 slices cooked and drained bacon, crumbled


1 tbsp. chopped parsley


1 tbsp.finely chopped red or green pepper (optional)


1 sm. bottle Ranch dressing


1/4 to 1/2 c. mayonnaise


Salt and pepper to taste





Combine all ingredients into large bowl and refrigerate 1-2 hours before serving and enjoy.





Easy Egg Salad Recipe





his recipe is simple to make and can be stored in the fridge until needed....


1/3 cup mayonnaise


1-2 teaspoon Spicy or stone ground mustard


Sea salt to taste


1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper


3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish


4 hard-boiled eggs plus 2 egg whites, coarsely chopped


2 boiled egg yolks, mashed


2-3 tablespoons finely chopped green onion


1 stalk celery, chopped





Directions


Boil 6 eggs, remove shells. Remove 2 yolks and mash. Chop remaining 4 whole eggs plus 2 egg whites.


In a medium bowl, stir the mayonnaise, mustard and 2 mashed egg yolks together to make a creamy mixture. Add salt, pepper, pickle relish and celery, mixing well. Add the chopped eggs and green onion, gently folding them into the mayonnaise mixture.


Store in airtight container until ready to use.
Potato Salad





6 to 10 potatoes, boiled, cooled and cut in chunks


3 hard boiled eggs, chopped


3 pickles, chopped


1 onion, chopped


2 apples, cored and chopped


3 tbsp. mayonnaise


salt and fresh ground pepper to taste





Mix potatoes, pickles, eggs, apple and onion in a large bowl. Add mayonnaise and seasoning into potato mixture. Chill. Enjoy!!!!





You could even add a tiny bit of yellow mustard - if you have any at home.
I'm a simple person... I just boil the eggs ( put eggs in water, bring to a boil, let boil one minute. Remove from heat and cover and let sit for 12 mins) Then I put them in ice water and let them sit for at least an hour in the fridge





I cut up the eggs and put in a bowl


Add mayo I don't like a lot so just add a little, you can always add more.


I add 1T yellow mustard


Chop up 2 stalks of celery... small pieces.


Mix together


Add pepper, peprika and a little dill seasonings.





Yum!
Everytime I go to a cookout I have been designated to bring Potato Salad. So, I guess it's pretty good! REALLY EASY TOO!





5lb bag of potatoes (whatever is on sale)





8 eggs (hard boiled and chopped)





1/2 a med onion or 1 very small onion.(minced as fine as you can get it.. I use a mini chopper .. or you can grate it)





2 tbls yellow mustard





1 cup mayo (you may need more.. you will know when you


have enough)





salt and pepper to taste

my uncle ned raised me. he always put tuna fish and pickled onions in egg salad.
